The Proactive Safety Series is an integrated, hands-on training program designed for security professionals who want to elevate their defensive skills, enhance personal safety, and operate with confidence and professionalism in the field. Because pepper spray, weaponless defense, and handcuffing share so many concepts—legal considerations, situational awareness, force options, and safety protocols—this combined format delivers a more efficient, cohesive learning experience.

Participants will learn how to assess threats, respond appropriately using the least amount of force necessary, and safely manage individuals in a variety of real-world scenarios. This series emphasizes prevention, control, legal compliance, and ethical decision-making across all defensive skill sets.

Module 1: Weaponless Defense Essentials

• Principles of unarmed defensive tactics
• Situational awareness and threat assessment
• Defensive stances, body positioning, and movement
• Basic blocks, escapes, and disengagements
• Use-of-force law and professional conduct

Module 2: Professional Handcuffing

• Purpose and role of restraints in private security
• Legal and ethical considerations for handcuffing

• Verbal communication & de-escalation during restraint
• Practical, supervised scenario application

Module 3: Pepper Spray Fundamentals

• Role of pepper spray in security operations

• Types of OC sprays and physiological effects
• Proper handling, carrying, and deployment techniques
• Decontamination and aftercare
• Practical scenarios & situational awareness
